For Tomorrow’s Europe (FTE) is a brand created by young Members of the U.S. State Department’s International Exchange Alumni Network. The brand encompasses initiatives falling within the fields of foreign policy, youth leadership, journalism and entrepreneurship which are executed through conferences and programmes.
The first FTE initiative to have been organised is Young Leaders for Tomorrow’s Europe (YLTE) which took place in August 2014, in Bratislava. It brought together 22 European U.S Department of State Alumni for four days of seminars and discussions on Europe’s foreign policy, Transatlantic Relations and youth leadership. This program’s success led to the birth of the FTE brand and inspired offshoot projects such as Young Journalists for Tomorrow’s Europe (YJTE) and Young Entrepreneurs for Tomorrow’s Europe (YETE) which are still in planning stage.
YLTE will take place for the second consecutive year in August 2015 in Bratislava with the backing of FTE’s main partner – the Embassy of the United States in Bratislava. The program is run by U.S. State Department Alumni with the assistance of other youth leaders in the field of civil action on the Bratislava scene.
